Fruit Cobbler

Cook Time: 20 - 30 minutes

Who's to say that an open fire is only good for s’mores and hot dogs? Here is a delicious cobbler that can be cooked right over an open-wood fire. Have some friends over, fire up your Ablaze, and spend the entire evening outside!

  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 4 cups fresh or frozen fruit in bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp. sugar

Place butter in 9 × 13-in. pan and leave over heat for a few minutes while you prepare the other cobbler ingredients.

When butter is melted and bubbly, remove it from the heat.

In a small bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk to make a smooth batter.

Pour into pan with melted butter, and top with prepared fruit sprinkled with sugar.

Bake 20-30 minutes, or until batter has risen to the top to form a nice golden brown crust, and fruit is bubbly.
