Phifer Incorporated will showcase its newest outdoor performance and interior and exterior sun control fabrics at the 2017 IFAI Specialty Fabrics Expo. Visit Phifer at Booth #2213 Sept. 27-29 in New Orleans, Louisiana, at the premier U.S. specialty fabrics marketplace to learn more about:
Outdoor Performance Fabric Updates – Get a first look at stock line additions to Phifer’s sling fabric line, Phifertex Outdoor Fabrics. Updates include new offerings plucked from the majestic-teal influenced Pacific Glow Collection introduced last fall. Phifertex fabrics are built tough for outdoor performance and can be used in awning, umbrella, pillow and new exterior fabric applications.
Phifer’s new two-year stock line binder will also be on hand at the IFAI Expo, displaying the full Designed Fabrics line of GeoBellacushion and Phifertex sling fabrics. Updates include a refreshed binder cover with a linen finish, green and blue color-themed swatch cards to distinguish between the two product lines and an increased number of application photos for ideas and design inspiration. Swatch cards have also been redesigned for easier handling.
New Sun Control Offerings – Phifer’s SheerWeave interior sun control line has expanded to include new blackout and light-filtering options in Style 7600/7650.
|Phifer's SheerWeave Style 7600.|
Style 7600 has a soft, acrylic foamed backing for total light blockage. Richly-textured, Style 7650 is a complementary range that uses the face fabric of Style 7600, providing privacy while allowing the function and beauty of natural light. Both styles feature a subtle linen pattern and are available in nine color options, widths of 118 in. and are flame retardant for commercial use.

Moving to the outdoors, a new hue, Carbon, has been added to the SunTex 95 range, joining eight neutral color options in this collection designed specifically for exterior roller shade applications. Made from vinyl-coated polyester, SunTex 95 is thinner and lighter weight than traditional SunTex fabrics and is a full basketweave.
Blocking approximately 95% of the sun’s hot rays, SunTex 95 offers increased heat and glare control for a cooler, more comfortable outdoor environment. By reducing the sun’s penetration to interior rooms, these shades can lower cooling demand and reduce energy consumption.
