Cheddar and Bacon Stuffed Burger

Cook Time: 8 minutes

Burgers don’t have to be plain and the cheese doesn’t have to sit on top. This stuffed cheddar and bacon burger has all the flavor inside the burger.

  • 2 pound ground beef
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp. Texas Pete Hot Sauce (or hot sauce of your choice)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • 4 pieces bacon
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated

Preheat SABER grill to medium heat.

Combine ground beef, garlic, Texas Pete Hot Sauce, and salt and pepper.

Form thin patties and reserve.

Cook bacon and reserve for later.

Sauté onions in bacon fat.

Place onions and bacon in a bowl with cheese - mix to combine.

Form a spoonful of bacon-cheese mixture into a ball, then place in the center of 4 patties.

Top each with another patty and seal the edges.

Grill burgers over medium heat, flipping once until desired doneness is reached; approximately 4 minutes each side for medium.
