American Fireglass Announces Intent to Acquire California Outdoor Concepts

Thursday, September 22, 2016

American Fireglass has entered into serious discussions with California Outdoor Concepts regarding intent to purchase their assets in hopes of acquiring California Outdoor Concepts in the near future.

The acquisition will enable American Fireglass to offer more products and will enhance competition in the fireplace/fire pit glass and burner products industry. California Outdoor Concepts will remain in business during the transition. American Fireglass will offer the additional products as a wholesaler with their vast network of resellers.

California Outdoor Concepts was established in 2001 and concentrates on distribution channels such as: catalogs, furniture stores, garden centers, hardware stores, home centers, Internet resellers, and specialty retailers. It specializes in handcrafted fire pits, fire tables and outdoor accessories.

Clint Blevins, who founded California Outdoor Concepts, would step down as CEO but continue to work with American Fireglass for a period of time to ensure a smooth transition.

The partnership between American Fireglass and California Outdoor Concepts combines two industry leaders that provide customers with products and accessories to enhance their outdoor experience.

“Our aim is simple,” said Matt Doll, founder and president of American Fireglass. “At American Fireglass, we strive to achieve excellence in everything we do, including: using the best quality materials, employing state-of-the-art manufacturing processes, implementing stringent quality controls and recruiting the best people to manage each process. We look forward to the opportunity to offer more products for our customers.”
