BJI Appoints Vincent A. Tortorici, Jr.
to Executive Vice President

ST. AUGUSTINE, FLORIDA

Brown Jordan International, Inc. (“Brown Jordan”), the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of outdoor furniture and indoor hospitality furniture, has announced that Vincent A. Tortorici, Jr. has been promoted to executive vice president. He will also continue his role as chief financial officer, which he has held with the company and its predecessors since March 1988.

Tortorici has previously held positions as vice president and treasurer of the company, its predecessors and subsidiaries.

Prior to joining Brown Jordan, Tortorici was with Arthur Andersen & Co. (1976-1988). In September 2012, he was selected by the Jacksonville Business Journal as one of the region’s “Ultimate CFOs.”

He holds a Bachelor of Science and Masters degree in accounting from the University of Alabama and is a certified public accountant.

Owners of Sierra Products Acquire
Interest in Thelin Hearth Products

Robert and Karen Beck, owners of Sierra Products, have announced their acquisition of Cardon Products, dba Thelin Hearth Products, a world-class hearth product manufacturer.

“Thelin Hearth Products (THP) has been responsible for many innovative and distinctive designs and we look forward to their joining our business,” said Sierra Products’ principal Robert Beck. “Thelin is recognized for meticulous craftsmanship and innovative products, which makes them a perfect fit for our brand. Combining both companies' dealer bases provides a significant opportunity for increased revenue and improved financial performance.”

All three of the Thelin product categories – pellet, wood and gas units – will continue to be manufactured. Initially, Thelin Hearth Products will focus on dealer and consumer outreach and ensuring that parts and support services are easily available. “We are excited to continue the Thelin legacy and provide our dealers and consumers with quality products, support and services,” said Robert Beck.

Twin-Star International Purchases
Bell’O International Corporation

DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA

Twin-Star International, manufacturer of a wide range of award-winning home products and furnishings, has completed the purchase of Bell’O International Corporation, including the company's Bell’O Digital brand. 

Bell’O, founded in 1988 and headquartered in Morganville, New Jersey, manufactures and markets audio/visual furniture, accessories, home theater seating, metal decorative beds, upholstered headboards and desks. The Bell’O Digital brand produces consumer electronic accessories such as digital headphones, AV cables, TV mounting brackets, and power surge protection devices. Under a licensed agreement with mattress powerhouse, Serta, Bell’O also markets a collection of metal beds and frames.

“Bell’O has a long standing reputation for superior design and quality products, making for an excellent fit with Twin-Star’s strategy and our existing product lines,” said Robert Cohen, Twin-Star’s CEO. “The synergistic strength established by blending our companies will provide our customers with a greater array of innovative, must-have products and improve the distribution capabilities of both companies.”
